Elisa

Photo Jan 09, 4 31 37 PMHi! My name is Elisa. Here’s a little bit about me: I am a student at UCCS and I study business. I started color guard at Air Academy High School my sophomore year and have loved it ever since. My favorite animal is a whale; I wish I could have it as a pet, but I simply don’t have the resources to a keep such a large animal. Instead I have a dog, which I feed extensively with the hope that one day it’ll be as fat as a whale. For that same reason I throw my dog into water constantly. Anyway, I love being in Anesidora, because everyone is kind and incredibly passionate about what they do. I love being a part of the team.

Izzi

screen-shot-2017-01-06-at-11-42-04-amHi! I’m Izzi, and I’m super excited to be a part of Anesidora for the 2017 winter season! I’m currently a freshman at Regis University in Denver. I’ve been doing color guard since 8th grade. I spent 5 years with the Broomfield High School marching band and winter guard, and this last summer I was a member of The Battalion Drum and Bugle Corps for their inaugural season! For the 2017 summer, I am going to be marching with Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps, which is a world class group based out of California! Outside of guard, I like to make music with my school’s jazz ensemble and chamber ensemble. I mainly play alto saxophone, but I am also learning how to play other instruments! I love everyone in Anesidora so much, and I am so excited to see where this season takes us!

Moira

Moira 2016I was born in Denver on November 14th and have lived in Lakewood my entire life. My life with guard actually began before I was even in it. My sister spun for three years when she was in high school, and I fell in love with it just watching my sister perform. I started spinning during the summer before my freshman year of high school. I spun four years of marching band and three of winter guard. Katie Cox has taught me all I know up to this point and I wouldn’t be where I am without her. After graduating, I was invited back to teach at my old high school Green Mountain as a tech, helping out some of the same people I spun with. This is now my fourth season helping with Green Mountain, and I believe it has given me a special look into how to be a better guard member. I’m currently in school working to finish my associate’s degree in Studio Art at Red Rocks. I’m hoping to continue onto CU Denver to get my bachelor’s degree in Photography. I love guard and I hope to spend many more seasons teaching and spinning.
